Challenges and Successes in implementing SAFe

Most of you might be aware of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Among the 3 of us, we have a lot of experience implementing SAFe at different organizations. Join us as we share with you the challenges of starting a train, the immense effort that goes behind communication and coordination to get it moving and how it can grow into a solution train that can deliver the value and solutions needed by the user, business and stakeholders alike.

This session will not just be a presentation, but will also include interactive games with an opportunity for everybody to participate and learn from each other.


Varsha Rajagopalan has several years of experience SCRUM Mastering new agile teams. She has also played the role of Release Train Engineer (RTE) and has helped spin up new ARTs and coaching them in Agile and SAFe.

Bryan Martin is a seasoned Agile Coach and SCRUM Master who has coached the software, sports and financial industries on Agile and its many frameworks including scaled frameworks like LeSS, Nexus and SAFe.


Kate Chajka Agile/Lean Coach, Trainer and Scrum Master, Project Management Professional and Engineer. 18 years of experience leading Agile Transformations by building a culture of High-Performing teams in a wide variety of environments including scaled applications of 20+ teams distributed across the globe to small, colocated R&D teams, anywhere from CMMI level 5 defense environments to new companies that do not have established process.
