Packard Place Public House | Keg-Side Chat with Mark Mahoney

Public Houses are where people used to gather to grab a pint and talk about events of the day. It was how people communicate, collaborate and shared ideas because they were public and open to everyone. Over time, they shorten the name to Pubs.

Join us for our Monthly Packard Place Public House – for pints, networking, and sharing what’s going on with you. Networking starts at 5 pm and the Keg-Side Chat kicks off at 6 pm.

This month, Mark Mahoney will be joining us for our keg-side chat. He is the co-founder and president of Jackrabbit. Mark, a former competitive gymnast, faced the same issues every owner of a class-based business does. When he looked for operational solutions, none existed. So in 2004, he and co-founder Mike Carper created the first online class management software and decided to share it with the industry. In the process they developed an unmatched support team in every key area, from onboarding to marketing to development.

Speaker’s bio:
Mark Mahoney’s passion is solving business problems with technology. Mark has been involved in organized youth sports since 1973. He has instructed and coached young athletes and he has owned sports facilities. Mark developed Class Master, a class management system, in the 80’s and sold it to another company. Due to the large number of previous clients asking Mark to develop another system, he decided to build a web-based application to eliminate the need for owners to worry about database backups, software updates and technical issues.

Mark has over 32 years of experience in information technology. Mark serves on the MIS Advisory Board for the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. He also belongs to the National Eagle Scout Association.

Mark holds a BBA from the University of Georgia and enjoys triathlons, water-skiing and backpacking. Mark loves living in the Lake Norman Area near Charlotte and spending time with his wife Cheryl and three children, Alice Ann, Christian and Katie Ann.
