PayCLT is excited to have payments industry all-stars Jennifer Lucas (Head of Payments at EY), Margaret Weichert (North American Head of Payments at Accenture) and Scott Harkey (Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Payments at Levvel) bring their insights on the main takeaways from 2021 and what we have coming up during 2022. You can expect perspectives gleaned from a dynamic year of high-stakes project work full of pivots and surprises, and understand what is most concerning to payments clients in the new year.

Jennifer Lucas leads the EY Payments Advisory team in the Americas and has over 25 years of payments and financial services technology experience at banks and technology organizations. Her team supports payments systems providers, networks, processors, financial institutions and fintechs in addressing the unique challenges and opportunities of domestic and international commerce. Prior to EY Jennifer was the Head of Enterprise Payments and Digital Strategy, Innovation and FinTech Partnership lead at a top 10 US bank. Jennifer is an active industry veteran, contributing to the formation and execution of several industry consortia and programs including clearXchange, LLC (now Zelle), The Clearing House’s Real-Time Payments (RTP) and Secure Token Exchange, LLC., The Federal Reserve’s Faster Payments Task Force, The ABA’s Payments Systems Committee, and Viewpointe Archive Services, LLC.

Margaret Weichert has 25+ years of payments experience and currently leads Accenture’s North American Payment practice. Over her career, Margaret has led Payments businesses for large banks, processors and consulting firms, where her expertise in corporate strategy, payments product integration and omni-channel experience have helped create differentiated and game-changing payment solutions, including mobile payment solutions, payment gateways, payment risk management tools and new business models. Her innovative work in the payment industry led her to be named as an inventor on 14 successful payment patents, currently owned by Bank of America, Western Union and Fiserv.

Scott Harkey currently serves as the Chief Strategy Officer and Global Payments Lead at IT Consulting firm Levvel where he helps customers transform their business using technology. Previously, Scott spent 5 years leading one of the largest banks in the country through definition, design, and deployment of their digital payment efforts. Prior to that, Scott spent 10 years at Wells Fargo working with various lines of business on technology transformation initiatives.With a proven ability to see the high level strategic picture, combined with the track record of getting product out the door, Scott is ready to tackle complex technology challenges, large and small.
