Scrum@Scale – Advanced Topics

Moving beyond the Shu (Beginner), to the Ha (Intermediate), and Ri (Mastery) of scaling Scrum.

Scrum@Scale was designed for full company Scrum in any domain. So how is it that so many organizations fall short in company wide agility? Please join us for a refresher on Scrum@Scale and conversation on how you can tell when your scrum has moved from Shu to Ha and beyond.

We will investigate how you can tell when your scrum is “Scale Free” and discuss how many scaling frameworks are not “Scale Free”. An indication that your scaling framework is not working is if you add more teams and productivity does not go up at linearly.

In the history of software development linear scalability has only been demonstrated on Scrum projects. What they learned at Intel is that “nothing scales” and that you need a ‘Scale Free” architecture to solve the problem posed by Mores’ Law.

The beauty of scrum is that when it is done properly it is scale free by design. The end result is business agility where an organization emerges as a self-adaptive system that delivers value faster and cheaper.
