Amicus.io Joins Wells Fargo Startup Accelerator!

Innovative Charitable-giving Platform Now Part of Select Portfolio
Driving Breakthroughs in Financial Services
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — May 8, 2018 —  Amicus.io, a fintech startup reinventing charitable giving, today announced it is joining the selective Wells Fargo Startup Accelerator portfolio. Amicus.io ELEVATE is first digital philanthropic platform designed to integrate charitable giving with online banking. The Wells Fargo Startup Accelerator advances exploration in emerging technologies in pursuit of breakthroughs for financial services. Amicus.io technology solutions enable banks to support their clients’ giving through product offerings for everyone from the retail consumer to the private bank client. The result is a modern, digital giving experience — enhancing the brand of the bank and improving the giving experience for the customer.
“Americans today are giving to charity in record numbers, and we see a clear opportunity to create an experience for people to easily align their financial and philanthropic goals with their values,” said Cornelis Hoekstra, CEO of Amicus.io. “Joining the Wells Fargo Startup Accelerator gives us a big opportunity to examine new ways to weave generosity into the fabric of customers’ financial lives.”
The Wells Fargo Startup Accelerator is a virtual, non-exclusive six-month program started in 2014. Companies are eligible to receive funding along with guidance from Wells Fargo business and technology leaders. While nearly 1,800 innovative companies from more than 50 countries have applied, only 19 startups to-date have been chosen for the accelerator portfolio. Amicus.io joins this select group.
“Working with technology startups like Amicus.io through our accelerator program plays an important role in how we will serve our customers in the future,” said Bipin Sahni, head of innovation R&D in the Innovation Group at Wells Fargo. “We’ll continue to explore opportunities for collaboration as we work to reinvent the customer experience.”
