Tom Desmond
CFH Board Member
Tom Desmond was the Chief Financial Officer of Ally Invest, an online securities broker and wealth management company and subsidiary of Ally Financial Inc. (“Ally”). Prior to Ally Invest, he was a co-founder and CFO of TradeKing Group, Inc., which was acquired by Ally in June 2016 for $298 million. Before TradeKing, Tom was a co-founder, partner and managing director of Baird Venture Partners, LLC, a venture capital firm based in Chicago, IL. Tom earned an M.B.A. with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, an M.A. with high honors from Michigan State University and a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame.

John Stoutenger

20 years of experience in financial services across consumer and small business banking. Currently – Senior Director of Corporate Strategy at Ally since 2018 with focus on scaling existing consumer product businesses, partnerships & new opportunities. Former Head of Small Business Deposits & Payments at Capital One in DC & Product & Analytics Executive at Bank of America here in Charlotte. Queens MBA.

Vas Kodali
EVP
Vas Kodali is head of Advanced Technology and Partnerships at Wells Fargo. His team is responsible for driving strategic relationships with IT industry leaders, and top private investors and their portfolio companies to evaluate emerging technologies, influence technology investments, provide a technology business development platform and develop an emerging technology outlook. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Vas held several senior executive positions in strategy, technology and risk at Bank of America. Vas was previously a partner at A.T. Kearney, a global management consulting firm. Vas started his career developing expert systems at IBM.

Dave Matthews
CIO
Dave Matthews is the Technology Executive for Enterprise Technology Architecture & Shared Capabilities (ETASC) organization. He also leads the execution of the Solutions Delivery Management (SDM) program. Previously, he was the CTO/CIO for Travelocity.com. Prior to his time at Travelocity.com, Dave served as Head of American Express BSDC technology group, based in Canada. Before joining American Express, he spent 18 years at JP Morgan (now JPMorgan Chase & Co.) in London and the U.S. in various technology positions including Senior Technology Managing Director and Head of Technology.

Brad Wallace
Principal
Brad is a Principal in EY’s Financial Services Digital practice where he oversees a team of user experience designers, visual designers, product managers, and digital strategists. Brad has over twenty years of experience, split between consulting, technical product development, business development, innovation, and business and technology leadership. Brad focuses primarily on consumer banking channels and is a big proponent of combining the best of what Banks and Fintechs have to offer in order to elevate the ease and effectiveness of banking.

Matt Herson

Matt is accountable for all technology solutions, delivery, and strategy within AIG's Lexington and Special Risks lines of business. He leads a team of talented technologists who are focused on transforming business platforms and capabilities. He partners with AIG's business and operations leaders.

Jonathan Hartsell

Jonathan Hartsell is head of Digital Business Development and Innovation in Wells Fargo. His team is responsible for identifying and accelerating opportunities for transformational change in consumer digital channels. Jonathan is focused on leveraging the best of technology and design to drive innovation across the digital ecosystem. Jonathan has over 15 years experience in financial services leading strategy and execution to improve the customer experience, launch new products and capabilities, and drive business value.

Scott Zimmer

Scott is the EVP, Innovation and Experience Design Officer, Head of Venture Investing at Truist. In previous roles, Scott has worked at Verizon, Capital One, and Ally. Scott is a graduate of the University of Colorado and received his MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler School of Business .

Steve Boehm
Chief Operating Officer
Steve Boehm is Chief Operating Officer, Barings, and is a member of Barings Executive Leadership Team. With more than 20 years of experience in technology, financial services, operations and merger integration, Steve leads Barings technology and operations focused on end-to-end customer experience and growth. Previously, he was a Senior Vice President, Customer Delivery Group & Chief Operating Officer of AvidXchange, where he led the company’s transformation through a period of hyper-growth and drove their end-to-end customer experience. Before joining AvidXchange, Steve served as Senior Vice President, Global Customer Experience of eBay. Earlier in his career he worked as a Senior Vice President, Global Product Management and Innovation at First Data Corp. from 2010-2011 and Executive Vice President, Merger Integration Team at Wells Fargo during the merger with Wachovia. He held other leadership roles at Wachovia and started his career at Visa. Steve holds a B.B.A. from James Madison University and an M.B.A. from George Mason University. He is a frequent speaker on team-based success and leadership effectiveness. He lives with his wife in Matthews, N.C.
