The Carolinas have long dealt with the stigma of lacking technology talent and being a laggard embracing innovation. This misconception is changing, with Fintechs recognizing and coming to the Carolinas for the depth of tech talent. Hackathons allow students the freedom to express creativity within their business case and they are encouraged to develop unique solutions with an emphasis on using the latest technology like machine learning or blockchain.
CFH Hackathons
The primary objective is to present the Carolina’s top university talent with a set of challenges and allow students to showcase their skills and creativity in a ‘job interview-like’ format. Hackathons create mutually beneficial relationships with universities, presents students with opportunities that exist in the region post-graduation, and influence curriculum through exposure to Fintech.
